New Coaching staff
Got a chance to meet most of Bobby Petrino's staff today and as were already knew, this is an experienced, succesful group of coaches.
What get Hog fans excited though, was hearing Bobby Petrino, and his brother Paul, talk about their offensive philsophies.
Bobby made it clear they will be recruiting more skill players with an obvious emphasis on speed. Paul, the offensive coordianator, spoke about how he likes an up-tempo style to practice and to the games. Remind you of anyone?
They like to keep defenses on their heels, with an up tempo style designed to wear down the opponent. And although the athletes that were recruited to run Houston Nutt's offense might be a different than what the Petrino's are after, they sounded confident they could adapt to their personell, and that their offense would work in the SEC.
We'll have to see if the "experts" were wrong.
