Stan Heath
It's a tough business, college athletics.
Seems just like yesterday we were all in awe of Arkansas' run through the SEC Tournament, and it's subsequent invitation to the NCAA Tournament.
In my mind, and alledgedly John White's mind, Stan Heath had done enough to keep his job. White even going as far as saying "your'e safe". But with time winding down on his 50 year career, Frank Broyles proved he had one more bullet left in his gun.
The old man pulled the trigger, and that's fine. He gets paid to make those decisions. Was it the right one? Only time will tell.
But I'll tell you one thing.
If Frank doesn't hit a grand slam with this hire.
If he lets Billy Gillispie go to Kentucky.
If the fans, and more importantly the players, are left unsatisfied with the new coach.....
Well, Frank wil be deciding how he likes the egg on his face, instead of which club to hit off the first tee at Augusta.
