The Circle of Life (in sports)

It always seems like one sport is ending, and another is just beginning. Football is just now hitting it's stride, and that's a beautiful thing. Meanwhile, the NBA is cranking up. Normally, that wouldn't get me very excited, but I'm anxious to see how Ronnie Brewer does in his rookie season with the Jazz. Meanwhile, major league baseball is winding down. We're already to the Championship Series in both leagues. Who do you root for? Big market teams (Mets, Tigers)? Or the underdog (A's). Or maybe the perennial postseason underachievers, the Braves, er, Cardinals.
And don't forget NHL hockey is underway.... (chirp chirp). Ok who cares. No one likes a tie anyway... it's like kissing your sister.
