Sallisaw, Vian Figure To Contend For Titles

From the other side of the border, I thought I'd get everybody tuned into some high school football. The River Valley and northwest Arkansas areas each saw its fair share of excellent teams in 2005, from Springdale, Ark., to Vian, Okla., and 2006 looks to see much of the same.

According to the Sequoyah County Times, who in turn reference "Oklahoma Kickoff," Sallisaw will start the year at No. 6 in Class 4A and Vian at No. 7 in 2A.

The Wolverines are moving up from Class A to 2A.
