Notes from OU, OSU Scrimmages
Both OU and OSU scrimmaged this weekend, and while the Sooners got some good news at quarterback, the Pokes got great news.
Paul Thompson was stable as OU's signal caller, completing 15 of 26 passes and 11 of his final 13. Running back Adrian Peterson had just one carry on the day, but A.D.'s not a guy who needs a ton of scrimmage time. Wide receiver phenom Malcolm Kelly didn't play because he was best man at his brother's wedding.
In Stillwater, our eyes and ears, along with this AP report suggested that Bobby Reid was terrific on Saturday. That's great news from the Pokes, who are expecting significant improvement from a 4-7 season in 2005.
