Sports guys are back!
Time to dust away the cobwebs on the ole Hog Blog! It's been a crazy couple weeks, a lot of it spent on the road with the football team... we havent had much time to post.
Some thoughts from the last couple weeks:
- A lot of people may be disappinted in 2 straight losses, but keep in mind the competition, LSU and Florida are 2 of the best in the country, it's nothing to be ashamed about. Perhaps the frustrating part is knowing that the Razorbacks could have and maybe SHOULD have beaten both teams. Mental mistakes, miscues, turnovers really doomed the Hogs. And despite all those missed opportunities, Arkansas was in both of those games and actually leading in them, only to see it slip away.
- Capital One Bowl- best of the "Non-BCS" games. That statement may frustrate Hog fans as well. I understand, believe me. The excitement built over 10 straight wins and a trip to a BCS game (Sugar Bowl in New Orleans anyone?) went right down the tubes as the Hogs faltered down the stretch. Make no mistake, the Capital One is a top tier bowl, and the location is perfect this time of year. I will in Florida on vacation for the holidays anyway, and a trip to Disney is great for families willing to travel and make a vacation out of it leading into the New Year's Day game. Trust me, there's so much to do in Orlando, it's worth the trip. And hey, you shouldn't be complaining after 2 straight years of sitting at home drinking eggnog, watching other teams still playing games.
Much more to come on the Hog-Wisconsin matchup in the coming weeks!
