Where will they go?

Where will the Hogs end up? In the NCAA with a trip down I-40 to Little Rock? Or half-way across the country in Washington D.C.? Or with a first round date, at home, in the NIT?

Everything is up in the air, for not only Arkansas, but for college basketball teams around the country. The answers are easier to come by for some teams. North Carolina can be assured of a top seed. So can UCLA. Their a couple of the elite teams have shown their stuff consistently throughout the season.

But as anyone who has followed the Hogs can tell you, consistency hasn't been their trademark. Georgia, anyone? But this week, in that same Peach State where the Hogs laid such an egg earlier this season, this team can find redemption.

Last spring, fueled by the motivation to save their coach's job, the Razorbacks run to the SEC Tournament finals opened the NCAA door just enough. And as one of the last teams in, Arkansas slid into the Big Dance like Tom Cruise in Risky Business. Their stay was short lived, but I think that team realized what it could accomplish when it was time to get to business.

A year later, the boss has changed, but the business is the exactly the same. The outlook, not as dire as a year ago, but that bubble could still burst. And with time winding down on the careers of six Razorbacks, the clock might be their greatest motivation.
