Vital Backcourt Production

As the Razorbacks slowly but surely continue to play themselves out of an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament, I decided to breakdown the biggest difference in this UA team from winning to losing in their SEC schedule.

After doing some number crunching, it appears Arkansas' key factor in winning or losing as of late really boils down to their backcourt.

When the Hogs are held to less than 20 points total out of their backcourt (guards), they've lost 4 out of 5 games. Consider too that the one win was that nail-biter against Alabama in OT.

Furthermore, when the backcourt scores less than a third of the team's total points on a given night, they're also 1-4. (That 'Bama game is the statistical anomaly.)

What I'm getting at is, pay close attention to Arkansas' guard trio (Beverly, Ervin, Welsh) and how well they perform today. Because likely if they have a noticeably bad game against Vanderbilt, it'll likely be UA's 3rd straight loss.
