Beatdown in Baton Rouge
well, well, well, the Hogs had some life in them after all. A week after getting torched my State's passing game, you might have thought a worse fate awaited Arkansas' db's in Baton Rouge.
But oh, on the contrare, Michael Grant, Red Richardson and the rest of the gang kept the Hogs in it by playing superb man to man defense, while Herring went zone at all the right times.
The 48 points allowed will never show the real performance this defense, although in the end, the "W" always will.
I told a group a Rotary group earlier this year not to get so down on the defense, that Herring's squads almost always get better as the year goes on and I think Friday was all the proof you need.
