It's Rivalry Week!

Final week of the regular season, and for a bunch of schools, it's bragging rights for an entire year. It doesn't matter what the records are, or what classification, it's two teams with something to prove. Just look at Northside and Southside: cross-town rivals, most of the kids know each other, but the Grizzlies appear to be playoff bound, while the defending state champs are already eliminated. That makes things interesting.
Up I-540, Springdale and Har-Ber have round 2 of their budding rivalry. A lot of emotions in this one, since the city has been split in two. Now, Springdale is the program struggling, and the new kids on the block are in position to win the 7A West title. Amazing what a difference a couple years makes.
I haven't even mentioned Greenwood-Alma, Rogers-Bentonville or Ozark-Booneville. It's a wonderful week for high school football in the state, and the Frenzy will be all over the place this Friday. Hope to see you out there! If not, join us at 10:15 on the tube, or check out the Frenzy Section on the web, www.4029tv.com, for Plays of the Week, Team of the Week, Mic'd Up, and the full Frenzy in case you missed it Friday.
