Ben Cleveland could be out for year...
It doesn't look good for sophomore tight end Ben Cleveland to see the field in 2007. The former Springdale high star is battling a nerve injury in his neck, and will likely redshirt this year and come back at full strength in 2008, according to head coach Houston Nutt.
Cleveland figured to be a key piece of the Arkansas offense this year under new coordinator David Lee. But Cleveland first sustained the injury in a Capital One Bowl practice last december, then had it flare up again in the spring, and finally, in fall camp during a drill. Cleveland has visited several doctors for multiple opinions, and the consensus appears to be Ben should sit out or risk further injury on the field.
