Zach Pianalto update at North Carolina

from the UNC version of Hawgs Illustrated, looks like Zach has a chance for playing time as a frosh! We'll keep you updated:

The Tar Heels currently have respectable depth at both tight end and H-back, but the talent at those positions is staggeringly raw and unseasoned. Among its top seven players at the positions of tight end and H-back, only one player, Bobby Rome, has any meaningful game experience on offense.Richard Quinn, who missed all of the 2006 season after suffering a shoulder injury during training camp, returns this season as the team's starter at tight end.
At H-back, the Tar Heel coaches are particularly high on true freshman Zack Pianalto, who entered the program in January and immediately impressed the staff with his work ethic and athletic talents. In addition to adding over 25 pounds of muscle during the offseason, Pianalto demonstrated an advanced grasp of the UNC offense during spring ball, and heading into the upcoming season has put himself into position to compete for a starting role right away. While Pianalto was one of the top young performers in the spring, Rome figures to get plenty of snaps at H-back as well once training camp convenes.
Rome is one of the top all-around athletes on the UNC roster, and his past experience in the offensive backfield as both a fullback and short-yardage receiver should help him with some of the essential components of the H-back position, such as pass blocking and running routes.Another H-back, Ryan Taylor, made an immediate impact for the Tar Heels in 2006 on special teams, and he is looking to also help the team on offense this coming season. Taylor, along with Rome and Pianalto, gives UNC a talented and balanced group of H-backs, but the inexperience at the position is definitely worth noting.
