Patrick Beverley representin'... his country
What a great opportunity for Hog sophomore Patrick Beverley. Coming off SEC Freshman of the Year honors and leading the Hogs in scoring last season, now he gets to play for Team USA's Under 19 national team overseas.
Sunday he had just 3 points in 17 minutes in an exhibition win over China. But the stats won't matter this summer. For Beverley to play with the best talent in the nation AGAINST the best talent in the world is a rare opportunity, just ask Nick Schmidt. Only good things can come from the experience. It also puts some positive Razorback news out there, and John Pelphrey is probably thrilled to death about seeing what he can do with P-Bev this season. Stay tuned.
