Bye Bye Bluejay
Dana Altman, we hardly knew ye.
In the most stunning turn of events since Nolan in '02, the Hogs lose their head basketball coach in the span of three days, as Altman decides he's going back home to Creighton.
Back to Creighton. Instead of the SEC. Instead of the one job he finally took after turning down so many other great offers in the past.
Altman said going back to Creighton was in the best interest of his family and this was a family decision.
Is there more to this story than just that? Sure there is. Hopefully we'll find out soon.
As for Arkansas, well, what can you say at this point. Frank Broyles might as well stay in Augusta since John White said Arkansas was going to hire a search firm. Broyles' influence in this hire is done.
D-O-N-E.
However, the great thing about the bloated world of college basketball is that there are over 300 division one coaches.
Certainly someone out there wants to become the next "grand slam."
Don't they?
