Hogs win series over #1 Vandy

Well some unlikely heroes stepped for Arkansas as they win their highly anticipated series against top ranked Vanderbilt. Nick Schmidt gets a lot of pub and rightfully so, but Duke Welker was incredible on the mound Saturday, and Jess Todd is an absolute bulldog. He seems more comfortable coming out of the bullpen, and he did it twice this weekend with good results.
On offense, Logan Forsythe and Jeff Nutt were simply out of their minds against the Commodores. Both hit about .500, and they were back to back in the lineup, seemingly feeding off each other's great play. Brian Walker is hitting below .200, but a grand slam on Sunday may be the spark he needs to get it rolling.
The only real blemish for the Hogs were some ugly defensive plays in Saturday's loss. If not for those Arkansas may have gotten the sweep!

One thing is for sure, the Razorbacks are moving up in the polls, and Vandy is coming down. WPS! Up next Oral Roberts on Tuesday in Tulsa.
