Are you ready for some....basketball?

Yes it's already that time of the year. I'll be heading over to Bud Walton tonight to check out the Hogs in their first exhibition game of the season. Stan Heath promises a much more up-tempo team, so we'll have to see how that shakes out. As for the players, Sonny Weems seems electric, and Gary Ervin should be steady at the point. But the guy I'm most looking forward to seeing is freshman Patrick Beverly. He was one of the top players out of Chicago last year, and by all accounts, can score like nobodys business.

It's still to early to form an opinion on this team, but with the newcomers and a front line that could be the best in the SEC, this team has every chance to surpass last years squad that went dancing. Should be fun to watch.
